Hear from the team who helped to create www.bebodypositive.org.uk. With eating disorder referrals on the rise among young people in the UK, it is crucial we provide early support to those who have concerns with eating and their bodies. We hosted a webinar together with parent, Sabrina Iqbal, to offer a guide to fellow parents and carers.
In this webinar, we cover the importance of early intervention when it comes to disordered eating and body image in young people. Recognising early warning signs and taking timely action can be pivotal in helping individuals navigate their journey towards a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. Together with Sabrina Iqbal, Be Body Positive Ambassador and Parent, we explore the potential of Be Body Positive as an effective tool for families, parents and carers.
Sabrina said: “It can be terrifying for parents when children feel overwhelmed with negative thinking. It’s such a relief to know that there is sound expert advice available that provides sensible and easy-to-follow plans for supporting your child.’
Take this opportunity to familiarise yourself with the Be Body Positive resource, and gain a deeper appreciation for its potential to positively impact the lives of the young people you work with.
91% of the parents and carers who took part in the webinar poll said that they were likely to use Be Body Positive as a resource to support young people.
